Why Invest?

Because we are unique.

As the only stand-alone, county-wide education foundation in Ohio, the HCEF impacts the life and future of the traditional Holmes County student as well as their family. Many of our traditional scholarship recipients are the first person ever from their family to attend college.

Because we go beyond tradition…

We open doors of opportunity for higher education by providing traditional and non-traditional student scholarships. We believe higher education is a valuable asset for all people whether you are a recent high school graduate or an adult student.

…while respecting its preservation through community.

Desiring to serve ALL the people of our community, we open doors of opportunity for further learning and skills through our professional development grants. These funds support individuals of local public and nonprofit organizations who seek further professional growth activities and in turn, benefit our community through their training.

By investing in us, you are helping us make a broader and deeper impact upon countless students as they pursue their hopes and dreams.

Keyholder's Society

The Keyholder's Society was established in 2014 to recognize and thank those donors who have included or intend to include the Holmes County Education Foundation in their wills, trusts, retirement plans, life insurance designations, and other planned gifts. By joining, you can take satisfaction in knowing that you are part of an important legacy. Contact Executive Director Darla Stitzlein at (330) 674-7303 to learn more about becoming a member of the Keyholder's Society.
